HariPrabodham ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Darshan live stream application and the website live.hariprabodham.media. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it. By using the app or website, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information required to authenticate your access and manage your viewing session: • Phone number — used to verify your identity and match your invitation. Only the last 4 digits are displayed within the app. • Display name — provided by the event organiser as part of your invitation, shown in the watermark overlay. • Event Code and Access Code — used to validate your access to a specific broadcast. • Session identifiers — a unique token generated at login to manage your active session and enforce single-device access. • Device platform — the type of device you are using (e.g., iOS, Android, Apple TV, Google TV) to support cross-platform session management. We do not collect your full name, email address, location, contacts, or any data unrelated to stream access.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely for the following purposes: • Authenticating your access to the live stream • Enforcing single-device session limits and processing takeover requests • Displaying your personalised watermark over the video stream • Maintaining your active session during the broadcast • Logging out your session securely when you leave the stream We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond the core function of the app.

4. Watermark and Content Protection

A personalised watermark containing your display name and masked phone number (last 4 digits) is overlaid on the video throughout your session. This is a content-protection measure designed to discourage unauthorised recording and distribution of the broadcast. The watermark is visible in any recording made of the stream. Screenshots and screen recording are blocked at the operating system level on supported devices.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third parties for marketing or commercial purposes. We use Amazon IVS (Interactive Video Service) to deliver the live stream. Amazon IVS processes video delivery data in accordance with Amazon Web Services' privacy policy (aws.amazon.com/privacy). No personally identifiable information from your account is shared with Amazon IVS. We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request.

6. Data Retention

Session data (access tokens and session identifiers) is cleared when you leave the stream or when your session expires. Your invitation credentials (phone number, display name) are retained by the event organiser and managed separately from the app. We do not retain active session data beyond the duration of a broadcast.

7. Security

All communication between the app and our servers uses HTTPS encryption. Access tokens are short-lived and invalidated upon logout. The app enforces FLAG_SECURE (Android) and OS-level content protection (iOS/tvOS) to prevent screenshots and screen recording.

8. Children's Privacy

The Darshan app is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Access to the app requires an invitation issued to verified adult recipients by the event organiser.

10. Changes to This Policy
